PALM BEACH, FLORIDA- June 19, 2013, ISLAND HOSPITALITY ANNOUNCED THAT IT NOW MANAGES THE HYATT PLACE PITTSBURGH NORTH SHORE, PENNSYLVANIA.
Chatham Lodging Trust announced on Monday June 17th that it bought the 178-room Hyatt Place Pittsburgh/North Shore, Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh Hyatt Place opened in December 2010 and is located in Pittsburgh’s North Shore neighborhood, between PNC Park (home of the Pittsburgh Pirates) and Heinz Field (home of the Pittsburgh Steelers), the Andy Warhol Museum, the Carnegie Science Center and the National Aviary. The Pittsburgh Hyatt Place is also proximate to Fortune 500 employers such as Alcoa, Del Monte Foods, PNC Financial, U.S. Steel and Heinz.
This is our 76th managed hotel. Our sixth Hyatt hotel, and first Hyatt Place. “We are very excited for entry to this market. This is an extremely unique market that offers a multitude of leisure and business related demand generators. This fits both ownership and management goals of entering into markets with high barriers for entry. We look forward to many more opportunities to work with Hyatt” said Tim Walker, President of Island Hospitality.
