Island Hospitality adds second Residence Inn in San Diego Area.

PALM BEACH, Fla., February 26, 2015—Officials of Island Hospitality Management, Inc, one of the nation’s largest hotel management companies, today announced that it has assumed management of the 240-room Residence Inn San Diego Downtown-Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego, California. The addition of this premier location makes for the third Island managed hotel in the greater San Diego area, joining the Residence Inn San Diego Mission Valley and Homewood Suites in Carlsbad.

“We are truly excited to welcome this unique Residence Inn to the Island family”, says Jeff Waldt, Executive Vice President. “This upper-scale hotel is located right in the heart of the Gaslamp historic district and is one of a kind find in this market. Being so close to the thriving Convention Center along with the strong leisure travel base in the area, we know that we will be able to make an effective impact with this property.”

This hotel is the only all-suite hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter and is only steps away from the convention center and downtown. Guests will appreciate the modern and eclectic touches throughout the hotels while also noticing a hint of the Victorian era. Offering a 24 hours business center, a heated outdoor rooftop lounging pool, and fitness center, guests can stay focused and fit during their visit. The hotel also offers a complimentary hot breakfast daily. In addition, the hotel boasts three meeting rooms totaling over 1,130 square feet of flexible space.
